Stayokay Arnhem is located close to the city, but also close to the Hoge Veluwe National Park. Get out actively, into nature or into city life. The hostel also organizes fun activities in the area. There is no such thing as boredom!

We have 2-, 4-, 6-, 7- or 8-person private rooms across five quietly located wings. In all our rooms you'll find:

Forgot to pack your towel? No problem, you can rent a towel at the hostel. Would you like us to arrange your towels, shampoo and shower gel and your beds made? That's possible! During the booking you can add full-service as an extra option.

Hungry? Did you know that you can also sit down in our hostel for an extensive dinner buffet? In any case, your breakfast is always included. Do you want to go out during the day? Then bring a packed lunch. Would you rather have lunch at the table? Book this in advance of your stay.

At Stayokay, we are committed to a greener and healthier world. That is why we cook with as many local and sustainable ingredients as possible and offer our meals meat-free as much as possible. If you have any specific wishes regarding the meal(s), please let us know.

Whether your group consists of active people, culture lovers or relaxers: there is something for everyone here! Do you want to plan your trip down to the last detail in advance? Check out our local tips below. Our hostel staff can also inform you about the best activities during your stay!

Activities for school groups

You're in good hands at Stayokay Apeldoorn for a school trip or excursion.

We can make a selection in paid and free activities for each group. How about this:

Free

  • Discover the history of Arnhem on foot and take a brisk walk through the city. Have you spotted the city castle yet? Via the VVV (tourist information) website, you can easily download one of the many city walks or cycling routes. 
  • Experience how organic farming works at City farm Presikhaaf. Roll up your sleeves together and experience farm life in the city!  
  • Organise a sports afternoon around the hostel. Guaranteed active fun. Even better: let your group invent and organise their own activities.
  • Visit Arnhem's most famous park, Park Sonsbeek. A perfect place for games and team building. Bring a packed lunch from the hostel and enjoy a fun picnic. Check the event schedule before you go, as concerts and performances are regularly held in the park.

Paid 

  • Explore the surroundings and go mountain biking on the Veluwe! At MTB2GO, you can easily hire mountain bikes for you and your group mates. They also organise fun packages such as guided mountain biking, BBQs and mountain bike hire in combination with an overnight stay at Stayokay.
  • Visit Burgers' Zoo! Discover the Savannah, the jungle and the desert. Here you will find the largest covered mangrove in the world!
  • Are you a history lover? Then you should pay a visit to the Historic Cellars, or the Warmuseum of Arnhem. 
  • Spend a day in the Netherlands Open Air Museum and discover the life, atmosphere and conditions of the past. The combination of learning, discovery and fun makes the museum a perfect educational activity. 
  • Introduce the pupils to climbing. The Mountain Network, a beautiful indoor climbing hall, is definitively worth a visit. The ideal activity for a rainy afternoon!
  • In the Water Museum, you become aware of the importance of water in your own life, the Netherlands and the rest of the world. There are various fun programmes for groups.
  • Hidden under Arnhem's shopping streets are 36 ancient cellars. The cellars have been restored to their former glory, connected to each other and opened to the public. Visit these Historische Kelders and experience the history of Arnhem in a unique way!
