Welcome to the comfy living room of the Achterhoek. Stayokay Gorssel is situated close to Deventer in a gorgeous Norse hunting lodge that's full of character.
Gorssel is located in the middle of nature between the historic Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen. These two cities are certainly worth a visit. And after a day in the city, enjoy the peace and quiet in Gorssel.
In the middle of nowhere looms a beautifully renovated Norwegian hunting lodge, you have arrived at Stayokay Gorssel. You will find an atmospheric restaurant, a cosy sitting area by the fireplace, a nice living room with games and a lovely terrace in the large garden. All in line with the characteristic Norse style. You spend the night in the family or private rooms (always with private bathroom) or in the Wikkelhouses on the grounds of the hunting lodge.
In our hostel, we stimulate the sale of local, fair, organic products. Don't forget to try out our menu!

Travelling on weekdays? From Zutphen, take bus 81 towards Deventer. Get off at bus stop De Pessink in Epse and change to bus 57 towards Borculo (Lochem). Get off at bus stop De Drie Kieften. From there it is a 2 km walk.

Travelling on the weekend? From Zutphen, take bus 450 towards Laren via Gorssel and get off at the Oesterschelp stop in Harfsen. From there, it is a 3km walk. Please note that bus 450 only runs on weekends!
At both stations, you can also take a regional taxi. Order the taxi at least 1 hour in advance at 0900-0276.
From Deventer take the N48 in the direction of Zutphen. In Epse, take a left at the traffic lights. At the very next street, take a left. Go 5 km and you will see the hostel.
From Zutphen, take the N48 in the direction of Deventer. In Eefde take a right, towards Bathmen. Follow the signs to the hostel.
Please note: some car navigation systems do not recognise the address. Is this the case, please try looking for "Kring van Dorth" instead of "Gorssel".
We have our own private unattended car park (free parking). This is located next to the hostel. You can charge your electric car at a charging station here.
Art aficionados are also well catered to here. Visit MORE, the modern realism museum. Or do you feel like going somewhere with the kids? Go wandering through the Toy museum. Outdoor life is spectacular here as well! If you're the active type, try go-karting or climbing in the Climbing forest and for those that come here for the sake of tranquillity: the fluisterboot in Zutphen comes highly recommended!
