The Mangrove opened at Burger’s Zoo during the summer of 2017. The largest covered mangrove in the world, it was inspired by the Central American country of Belize, where Burger’s Zoo has been involved in protecting the natural habitat for many years. The mangrove forest plays a key role in the country’s ecology.
