Beer & beef steaks

If you ask anyone in Amsterdam where to go for a decent steak, everyone will point the way to Loetje. This restaurant has been famous for its tenderloin steak for years. The good news is that the Gorssel branch opened in 2016.

“The chef’s own gravy and white bread for soaking it up make these steaks even more tempting.”

When you drive into the centre of Gorssel, you can’t miss the restaurant, which is housed in a stately building with a large terrace right next to Museum MORE. It also has ten hotel rooms. The menu’s speciality is Loetje steak, with a choice of three types. There’s even an XL version for the big eaters. The chef’s own gravy and white bread for soaking it up make these steaks even more tempting. If you are not a steak fan, other dishes are available.

Nice to know!

Loetje started in Amsterdam as a neighbourhood billiards bar where you could order cheese and egg on toast, meatballs or a portion of cheese. It was when people started asking for evening meals that tenderloin was introduced to the menu.
