Cocktails on the roof

If you thought rooftop bars only existed in large metropolises, think again. You can also go for a drink high above The Hague. From the third floor of Het Dak van Bleyenberg, you get great views over the Main Market Square, the skyline and rest of the city centre.

“Het Dak van Bleyenberg is the first proper rooftop bar in The Hague.”

Het Dak is part of Bleyenberg, the new place to go out for a bite and a drink in the old Kwantum building on the Grote Markt. From three floors up, you feel as though you’re in New York or London, rather than The Hague. On a summer evening watch the sunset from here with a cocktail in your hand. As part of the roof is covered, winter is no reason not to come either. In addition to Het Dak, Bleyenberg also houses De Kantine, where you can get a bite to eat, and a basement club.

Hey, did you know?

The name Bleyenberg is a homage to the director of the Kwantum store that used to stand on the same location. John Bleyenberg is something of a legend in the city. In the 80s and 90s he hung wallpaper throughout The Hague.
