Arnhem gained an attraction in 2013: Rozet. Here, you can find all sorts of cultural and educational institutions under one roof. Don’t hesitate to step inside and walk through the building via the special ‘inner street’.
The library, the Heritage Centre, the People’s University and many other cultural and educational organisations are connected by the so-called inner street. This street consists of a meandering wooden staircase that visibly climbs the northern façade. Halfway up, there’s an exhibit square and then the staircase continues via the south façade. Eventually, you’ll get to the roof patio where you can have a bite to eat in the summer and it also offers a stunning view of the city.
Nice to know!
In 2014, Rozet was named the ‘Best Building of the Year’ by the Branchevereniging Nederlandse Architectenbureaus (BNA). This architectural award is handed out annually.
