The Luchtoorlogmuseum is managed by the Aircraft Recovery Group 1940-1945 foundation. This foundation researches the air war above Dutch territory during World War II on a voluntary basis. By means of archives, personal interviews with survivors and eyewitnesses of the plane crashes, they try to reconstruct the event. This is depicted in the fortress through various airplane components, personal stories, drawings and articles.
